Perm School to host delegation of French students
In February 19-27, 2020 Perm Foreign Languages School No 22 was hosting the delegation of Lycee Sud Médoc La Boetie students from the French town of Taillan-Médoc. This is the 11th visit to Perm organized under the school exchange programme.
The French delegation programme has been full of various events, including the sight-seeing tour of Perm, the visit to Perm-36 Museum, Perm Art Gallery and Antiques Museum, Russian language classes as well as exploring the schooling system and activities.
The French schoolchildren also learnt how the local government works – they visited the Perm City Administration and the City Council. They took a lot of interest to the history of Perm and development of twinned cities links.
The French guests were very satisfied with the successful visit, however, their feeling was that they still lacked something very specific of the place – namely, the famous Ural frosty winter weather!
The school exchange programme between the schools of France and Perm has been successfully implemented since 2009 and is aimed at developing partnership links between Russian and French schools, promoting the Russian language and culture in France and the French language and culture in Russia. Throughout the years there has been a vast variety of joint projects involving teachers and schoolchildren.
